I have practiced yoga since 1992 and taught both group classes and private individuals since 1996. I have sampled many styles of yoga with different teachers over my 25+ years of study and practice. All of these experiences have influenced my own yoga practice as well as my teaching style, which have both definitely changed as I have aged.
I now specialize in addressing the physical, mental, and emotional changes common to seniors with the tools of yoga, and am certified in Yoga for Healthy Aging through Baxter Bell, MD, Berkeley, CA, and Integrative Yoga for Seniors through Duke University Integrative Medicine, Durham, NC.
Find me in Yoga Alliance's teachers registry, where I hold the designation Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) 500 based on my overall level of training and teaching experience. And see my YogaU Online professional listing. Both of these organizations' websites contain a wealth of information about yoga and yoga research, and YogaU Online offers online classes and workshops by nationally and internationally recognized yoga teachers, including many of my own primary teachers.
